Auto Tune Ups in Columbia, SC

Is it Time For a Tune Up? -- Mickey’s Auto Repair

A tune-up is an essential aspect of preventive vehicle maintenance. We have a long-list of items we inspect, and if needed replaced. There is no one-size-fits-all service schedule for this essential service. While you can check your vehicle owner’s manual for your suggested tuning schedule, your driving habits and overall vehicle maintenance will determine your frequency. On average, non-electric ignition and fuel injection should be tuned about once a year—and electric ignitions ignition and fuel injection every 2 years or so. It only takes us a few minutes to determine if it’s time, so stop by Mickey’s Auto Repair in Columbia at your earliest convenience. We are just 10 minutes from downtown, and on the edge of town just outside of Irmo.

Signs You Need A Tune-Up

If you stay on top of your regular oil changes, our technicians will inspect for many of the standard tune-up repairs. However, a full tune-up is more in-depth. While there may not be any signs that it’s time, if your vehicle is misfiring, stalling, or your gas mileage has decreased—a tune-up could be the culprit. However, there are a variety of factors that can lead to these symptoms, which is why you should stop by anytime your car or truck doesn’t sound or feel quite right. Our ASE-certified technicians will diagnose the problem in no time at all. We provide a warranty of between 12,000 and 36,000 miles depending on the auto parts and repair.
